The Zeiss lenses used
Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f2.8 full frame lens from 1968, adapted on a Sony a7ii full frame digital camera. The popular collector’s lens, also known as “The Flek”, features high image quality, beautiful bokeh and a close focus distance of only 18cm to the sensor plane. Measured from the front of the lens, you can get as close as 7cm to objects and create macro shots up to a ratio of about 1:1.4 on an APS-C camera. Here you can find an informative video about the used Flektogon lens “The Flek” by Mark Holtze.
Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar T 58mm f2 full frame lens from 1953, adapted to a modern digital Sony a6100 APS-C camera. The legendary Zeiss lens is characterized by a very high image quality and a barrel-shaped rotating “Swirly Bokeh”. Due to the small APS-C sensor and the crop factor, this lens has the same angle of view on this camera as an approx. 90mm lens on a full-frame camera. Here you can find an informative video about the used Biotar lens by Mark Holtze.
